Loyal to my fist
Conspiracy I suspected
Stark prestige I wanted
How I had laid unadorned
Talent not unnoticed
Ranks fell below me
Sickening crunch
Bug under my shoe
I felt power finally
A resource depleted
So my rule was harsh
I was above them
Tragic it may seem
Innuendo by the fractious
Flaming words
Illegal speech
Amnesty never earned
Worship the Institution
Fallen, but not so far
They stalked the guard
While I, in my thoughts;
Not guilty
Darkness Dim starlightDarkness by ~Zack3918
graces the shattered earth.
Even the wind has stopped blowing
and the downpour is starting.
The dismembered moon shows its pale reflection,
splitting the darkness of the night.
Casting shadows
on the torn landscape.
The wars among the stars.
The life, the miracle.
Rips its mother apart.
A flash in the sky and it’s all gone.
